It has formed stars at a rate 100 times greater than that of the Milky Way during the last 100 million years.Carina is famous as the home of the bright star Canopis. It is the brightest star in the constellation and the second brightest star in the night sky with a visual magnitude of -0.74. It is a blue-white supergiant star that is 13,600 times brighter than the Sun. It is located approximately 310 light years from Earth.

.Camelopardalis constellation lies in the northern hemisphere. Its name comes from the Latin derivation of the Greek word for “giraffe.”

Taken apart, the word camelopardalis means camel (Greek kamēlos) and leopard (pardalis). The giraffe was called the “camel-leopard” because it had a long neck like a camel and a body with spots, like a leopard.
